Spring 2026 Update: HandyDots, Deodorants & More

The first quarter of April has come and gone as we prepare this newsletter, and many things have impacted on how we must look at how small businesses and our crafting families will fare as a result of overseas traumas. Our public is being mindful about their disposable income once again as the price of petrol, diesel, gas and other commodities react to a clash of differing national opinions and beliefs.

Add that to yet another increase in postal and carriage charges, which strains the viability of single product sales through our website. Where our customers are reasonably local to us, we will continue to deliver by hand, and where we cannot, we endeavour to choose the most economically reliable method of transit.

We have continued, by and large, to hold our product prices for at least 12 months, even though many base ingredient costs drift up and down as markets falter.

HandyDots: Everyday Hand Care Made Simple

Our HandyDots are proving to be really popular based on the fact that they do exactly as we designed them, that is, offer a genuine fix for those troubled and not so troubled hands.

Specially crafted to care for those busy hands that are showing life’s wear and tear. Do you have “Pot washing” hands or housework damage, industrial wear and tear or simply ageing hands? We all, from time to time, see and feel that we have neglected the very tools of our lives. Reach for that proprietary hand cream to get some comfort, and stumble with a brick of a jar or an awkward squeezy tube that delivers too much, too little, or you find is empty.

We at Dawn to Dusk Alchemy have crafted the perfect answer: HandyDots. Small, 500 milligram (approx) hemispheres of rich, soothing hand lotion crafted from the finest natural, chemical-free ingredients.

Take One Dot, and it will blend into your skin with gentle massage, releasing a carefully blended fragrance of Orange and Vanilla, whilst beneficial waxes, oils and butters revitalise those needy hands. New fragrances are planned to uplift your day.

Coming Soon: TootsieDots for Foot Care

To complement HandyDots, we have designed, are in the process of testing and seeking approval for the launch of TootsieDots. These are based on the HandyDot formula but with different essential oils, namely Tea Tree and Peppermint.

A very active and refreshing combination to relieve the stresses and unique problems associated with troubled and not-so-troubled feet. We will, as usual, work with our friends and colleagues to evaluate and launch when fully ready, hopefully in the month of June.

Don’t Forget Our Natural Deodorant

Do not forget our bespoke deodorant: Based on pure milled lemongrass with beeswax and other fine ingredients, it is available on our website as well as usual event outlets, and is a better value for 80mls than the usual 40mls from retail outlets for a chemical-free, superior product.

We are receiving some wonderful comments from those who have bought and tried it. And good news – a new fragrance is on the horizon!

New Vanilla Shampoo Bar

By popular request, Dawn and the Team have introduced another bar shampoo to our existing Lemongrass and Lavender shampoos. We have created a high-quality vanilla shampoo bar that also possesses the same creamy lather, combined with the properties of Vanilla essential oil.

Bespoke Batches and Gift Options

If anyone would like to purchase a full batch (Usually 12) of any of our soap products, or create any special gift box or package, we are always happy to help create that special, bespoke choice. What about a scent or fragrance idea, or a soap content that you would like? It must, however, be a viable quantity and be safety compliant as per regulation. We will always evaluate your request.

Commissioning Custom Soap Batches

We now offer a request facility for anyone who wishes to commission a batch of custom-made soaps of their choice. This, by necessity, is subject to fixed conditions and can be ordered through our website or at an event outlet.
